We are thinking of our ancestors, many who toiled on plantations in search of a better life. Join us on the streets next Saturday! We are partnering with visionary Indo-Caribbean artist Renluka Maharaj @renlukamaharaj for “A Time To Heal,” to honor some of our members’ ancestors in a march along the sidewalks of Liberty Avenue followed by an intimate storytelling discussion at Smokey Oval Park located at 95th Avenue and 125th Street. We will begin marching at 10am and finish at 11am after which point we will proceed to the park. Look out for us! You are invited to join us at the park afterward. Feel free to bring your own ancestor story to tell!
