Mental Health First Aid Training

Our organizations, South Queens Women's March, the Kate Spade Foundation and Mental Health First Aid, share a belief that women have the power to transform their communities. We are thus excited to provide this complimentary Adult Mental Health First Aid training for women or those who directly support women.

Those who attend MHFA training can expect to feel empowered to reduce stigma, build a culture of nonjudgmental listening, and learn where to turn when a loved one, neighbor or community member shows signs of needing help. These signs are more present than ever before, according to the CDC, with nearly 41 percent of U.S. adults reporting at least one mental health or substance use challenge in 2020. While our present challenges may be daunting, taking an MHFA training is a way you can #BeTheDifference in our community. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual who has stopped breathing, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related challenge.
