The South Queens Women's March team is rattled by the stories of sexual assault by members of our South Queens community and beyond. In efforts to build dialogue on how to cope with sexual violence, how to deal with shame about sex, and how to ensure we are empowered in our sexual relationships, we are focusing on next healthy relationships workshop on these very topics.

Our instructor will be Dr. Sarika Persaud, Psy.D. Dr. Persaud is a psychologist and the Coordinator of Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice Initiatives at Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus. Dr. Persaud identifies as a queer Indo-Caribbean woman and writes on spirituality, relationships and sexuality issues in the South Asian diaspora.
