College Applications 101

📝It’s that time of year again! Our College Applications 101 Workshop is back! Join us virtually in Monday, October 16 as we convene a conversation on many important aspects of the college application process - everything from essays to interviews and the Common App plus supplemental applications!

Our featured speakers will be Nicole Flint, who is an admissions counselor at CUNY, and two students themselves, Janna Habibulla, who is currently a freshman at Harvard University as well as Lauren Sulaiman, one of our SQWM members who is a Jeanette K. Watson fellow and a student at CUNY John Jay. The workshop will be facilitated by our SQWM Member Afeza Rozario.

If you have any questions for our panelists please submit them with your registration.

Why are we hosting this workshop? South Queens Women’s March recognizes that in order for us to live in a truly equitable world, we must have equitable access to tools that will pave the way for our long-term success. That includes access to high quality conversations about educational options and professional development. To that end, we place priority on cultivating these types of conversations for our community and hope to bridge the gaps we know exist, particularly for Black and Brown youth. Please help us spread the word about this workshop far and wide!
