Destigmatizing Divorce

During the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, join us for a panel discussion on Destigmatizing Divorce, featuring speakers with various expertise areas from lawyers to a couples therapist. On November 30 at 6:30pm via Zoom we’ll hear from Liz Vaz, Sara Khan-Duprat, Claudia Rivas, and Kedersha Desir. In our Black and Brown communities, and more specifically in the South Asian and Indo-Caribbean communities we serve on a regular basis, divorce is a taboo topic and something frowned upon even when it is the best choice. It can also be a difficult choice for couples. South Queens Women’s March will shine light on this during the discussion. The discussion will be moderated by our members Denera Pope-Ragoonanan and Deborah Doodnauth. #destigmatizedivorce#divorcesupport #divorceisok
